Digger’s Hotline at 811 Summit
Northern Natural Gas in Omaha, Nebraska was the setting for the first Common Ground Alliance (CGA) Stakeholder 811 Summit held November 17, 2006.
The Summit focused upon the 811 National awareness campaign and corresponding launch strategies. The key speaker for the event was CGA Project Manager, Khrysanne Kerr. Ms. Kerr presented strategies for introducing 811, available resources and opportunities for involvement in the launch campaign.
Beginning in mid April, 811 will be implemented as the nationwide number to call before you dig. By dialing 811, the user will be automatically directed to their state specific One Call Center.
Current CGA members as well as others interested in underground damage prevention attended this free event sponsored by Nebraska Digger’s Hotline, Northern Natural Gas and the One Call Centers of Kansas, Missouri, Iowa, South Dakota and North Dakota.
